This five-week immersive course is taught at one of Milton Keynes' most biodiverse and important parks - Howe Park Wood. On this course you will gain practical experience in studying and identifying wildlife and also learn some exciting skills in "bushcraft". Those signing up to the April course can expetc activities such as learning how to monitor wildlife activity, honeybee identification and biology and whittling*. *Please note that we reserve the right ot change the content of the course based on weather, resources, group ability/interest and staff availability.
This course takes place every Tuesday night from the 23rd April to the 21st May, from 5-7pm.
Please note this course is for 11-14 year olds only. The course will be taught outdoors where possible - so please be prepared to be outside for 2 hours, and wearing weather-appropraite clothing. Not only will you will have lots of amazing memories to take away, you will also receive a certificate upon completion and get to take home anything else you make on the course. After Youth Explorers you might wish to consider one of our Youth Ranger courses for 14-18 year olds.
