Saturday 9th November come and join us for a night under the stars with the award winning UK Astronomy!

Starting with an hours interactive presentation from founder Ross Hockham BCAe taking you on a journey through the solar system. Featuring inflatable Sun and planets, you will find out some fun facts about each and how you can see them from your gardens at home.

A break for hot drinks and biscuits will then be followed by stargazing if clear.

With UK Astronomy's mobile observatory, a VW 'Space' crafter van packed with telescopes, binoculars and gear for you to get hands on searching the sky for and seeing some of the awesome sights that our universe has to offer.

If cloudy or raining there will be scopes and gear for you to view plus another 30-40min talk where we turn the lights off and show you what you can see with your eyes, binoculars and finally telescopes. From Globular clusters to Nebulae to Galaxies there is something for everyone to enjoy and inspire you to go out and look up in wonder.

  • This event is family friendly, suitable for all ages and no prior knowledge of astronomy is required.
  • Please wear suitable clothing for outdoor weather.
  • If you have your own binoculars, telescopes, red flashlight, then please do feel free to bring these along with you. 
  • Limited spots available, please ensure to book early to secure your place under the stars.
  • Please note, UK Astronomy are back by demand so the presentations are the same as previous years, 
  • All tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Campbell Park Pavilion has step free access and is suitable for wheelchairs. Accessible toilets are located in the building. 

Parking: Please use the car park at Campbell Park Pavilion. Accessibility parking and Electric car charging are available in the car park.
