We're working to make your parks more inclusive

The Parks Trust is committed to making Milton Keynes' parks more accessible to everyone so that everyone can access the benefits of the great outdoors. Our dedicated Community Engagement team work with diverse groups to understand from local people what we can do to improve the park experience.

  • We are working on physical improvements to the parks as well as enhancing the information about each location to help visitors make the most of their visit.
  • We will also be looking at our events and activities and the booking processes accompanying these to make sure access is equitable.
  • We are making sure our staff and volunteers are trained in disability awareness.

On this page you can find out about accessible activities in our parks. For information about individual parks' accessibility, please visit the park pages via the 'Your Parks' menu, and visit the AccessAble pre-visit guides. We're also creating a series of pre-visit videos to help inform visitors about the accessibility in our parks.

Our programme of accessibility improvements is supported by a panel of Access Ambassadors, a diverse panel of individuals with personal experiences of disability or caring for loved ones with disabilities. The group represent a wide range of conditions, including mobility, sensory, and neurodiversity and have a passion to make positive change. They’ve kindly signed up as volunteers to help the Trust to be able to make a difference in this area. Find out more about our Access Ambassadors.
