About Willen Lake South

Willen Lake South is Milton Keynes’ most popular park. It offers a wide range of activities on and off the water with something for everyone to enjoy, including the Treetop Extreme high ropes course, outdoor splash park Splash ‘n’ Play, and watersports such as kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. It’s a great place to entertain family and friends of all ages, whether it’s a visit to the café or restaurant, a stroll, trying a watersports course or hiring a pedalo.

What to see and do

There is lots to do at Willen Lake, making it the perfect destination for a family day out. Alongside the paid activities such as Splash ‘n’ Play, Treetop Extreme and watersports, there is plenty to enjoy for free. Willen Lake offers a fantastic play area that can be used by children of all ages, all year round. There are also play and trim trails located at different points around the lake.

Willen Lake is the perfect picturesque location for a run or walk – all year round. A circular route around both lakes is approx. 5km, but you can change this up to make it longer or shorter as required. Check out our guided walking routes for inspiration.

There are plenty of open areas to enjoy a picnic, play games or simply relax in the sun.

Food and Drink

Fishing

Accessibility

There is good access at Willen Lake, with surfaced paths around the lake and dedicated parking spaces at both the North and South car parks. A disabled toilet can be found in the Splash ‘n’ Play complex. A changing places toilets is also be available in our watersports centre.
