Running is a fantastic way to get outside, is great for physical health, and mental well-being. It can also be a great way to explore our parks. As you move around the parks you'll find many have surfaced paths making them easy to run around and great scenery away from any traffic, or you can go off path and find some beautiful trails and bridleways for a more natural experience. 

Milton Keynes has a friendly, vibrant, and diverse running community. There are opportunities for young to old, and for all types of runner. Some of the options are listed below, there are clubs you can join, or events to attend. Many of them are free and beginner friendly, especially our Parks and Run events, or the weekly parkruns. 

Other events take place throughout the year across MK. And whatever level of running you enjoy you will find a challenge somewhere in the calendar! Find more running events here. 

If you'd like to join a local club then check out these local options:

MK Lakeside Runners - A small local friendly club that offers beginners courses, and social runs on Tuesday and Thursday evening

Redway Runners - MK's largest club, they offer multiple opportunities to run throughout the week. They also provide beginners courses. 

Shenley Striders - A small local friendly club that provide training runs on Monday and Wednesday.

MMKAC - Marshall Milton Keynes is the Athletics Club for MK which offer many opportunities for running from youth through to adult, both road running, and athletics
