Walking Festival: Woodland Litter Pick

Howe Park Wood

Friday 10 May
10am
Free
Suitable for all ages

Join us for this extra Community Litter Pick as part of the Walking Festival 2024. Taking place at Howe Park Wood, one of our ancient woodlands, on Friday 10th May, this is a great way to get outdoors and help your local environment.

This litter pick will be led by a member of staff who will provide all equipment (including special pickers for children) and take the litter away for disposal. The pick will start at 10am and last about 1 hour. Please come appropriately dressed for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.

Please meet at the Howe Park Wood Education Centre. What3Words location ///pound.trespass.munched.

There is no height barrier but please park considerately. There are toilets and a café on site.

No booking is required but please arrive in time to hear the safety briefing and collect equipment. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Information for groups: If you are a group of 6 or more people, please contact volunteering@theparkstrust.com to check that we can accommodate you at this litter pick. If you have 10 or more people wanting to take part in a litter pick, please take a look at our guidance on hosting your own litter pick in our parks.
