Walking Festival: The Big Parkwalk

Saturday 11 May
9am
Free
Suitable for all ages

As part of the Walking Festival 2024 parkrun teams across Milton Keynes are encouraging all participants to have a go at parkwalk!

Taking part at parkrun is free, and participants are encouraged to walk, jog or run - you can register in advance here, and if you'd like to register as a parkwalker on the day please contact the volunteer teams at each of the events.

The idea of parkwalk was introduced in 2022 - parkrun wanted to inspire people to take part in their events as a walker. This is a great way of soaking up the parkrun atmosphere, getting the opportunity to chat to people, being active and is something that whole families or friendship groups can do together. It’s also one of the best entry points into parkrun, especially for those who may be taking their first steps towards healthier and happier lifestyles.

Milton Keynes is fortunate to have 4 amazing parkrun locations, varying from one of the most visited

Milton Keynes parkrun at Willen Lake, a beautiful event including the Newlands Remembrance Walk, Canal Broadwalk, Willen Lake North and South.

Bury Field parkrun at Bury Field in Newport Pagnell, a historic common that has links back to the civil war, taking in a beautiful rural feel and the Great Ouse river.

Linford Wood parkrun in and around Linford Wood, one of Milton Keynes 3 ancient woodlands.

Milton Keynes juniors at Emerson Valley Sports Pavilion, and amazing 2 lap course for junior participants aged 4-14 - Sunday 12th May at 9am

Each parkrun event has all details about facilities, location, parking, and accessibility listed on their pages.
