Walking Festival: Introduction to Forest Bathing

Shenley Wood

Thursday 09 May
1:30pm
Free
Suitable for ages 12+

Get in touch with the natural world as part of the Walking Festival! This relaxing walk through the ancient woodland offers an opportunity to slow down from our busy lives and reconnect with the natural world that surrounds us.

We will be following Forest Bathing techniques developed in Japan in the 1980’s that have been found to lower blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve memory and concentration. Some findings even show it can help us stay healthy - nature is a powerful healer!

Book to secure your place and experience this immersive afternoon on Thursday 9th May at Shenley Wood.

Please note this session is suitable for adults and older children.

Shenley Wood is a mixture of hard paths and muddy trails and please expect to be off the paths at time so wear suitable clothing and footwear.

There are no toilets at this site. With the nearest toilets being at Westcroft shopping centre. Please get in touch on outdoorlearning@theparkstrust.com if you require any accessibility support or to request a hearing loop.

This event is free but booking is required to limit numbers.
