Accessible Guided Walk: Ashland Lakes

Ashland Lakes

Wednesday 19 June
11am to 12pm
Free
Adults only

Join our friendly staff on this exploratory guided walk of Ashland Lakes in Milton Keynes on Wednesday 19th June at 11am. With the route designed to be accessible for walking and wheeling, everyone is welcome to attend. We will meet at Ashland Lakeside Community Centre, where there are accessible toilets and parking, and then walk around the scenic lakes. Along the way you will learn about Milton Keynes wildlife and The Parks Trust.

The walk will last roughly 45 minutes and covers approximately 1 mile. There are some benches along the route for rest stops. We will use surfaced paths which can be bumpy in localised areas, but we will be avoiding large slopes. Please get in touch to tell us how we can support your accessibility requirements. A hearing loop is available on request.

Getting here: There is a free car park immediately outside Ashland Lakeside Community Centre, however parking is limited and there is a 1.9m height barrier. Accessible and EV spaces are available. Additional spaces are available along Penhurst Crescent.
Drop-off/pick-up: You should instruct the driver to drop you at Ashland Lakeside Community Centre, MK6 4AJ.
Meeting place: We will meet outside the Community Centre.
Toilets: We have arranged access to facilities inside the Community Centre, including accessible toilet.
Refreshments: There is no cafe in the park.

Contact accessibility@theparkstrust.com with any access enquiries.

No booking required. We hope to see you there!

Formerly known as the Simpson balancing reservoir these lakes were formed in around 2006 to provide a more attractive and interesting area of parkland for the adjoining housing development at Ashland.
