Seasonal Walks (KS1 & KS2)
Enjoy a seasonal stroll in Milton Keynes as we guide you through the wildlife in your local parkland.
Discover the seasons of Milton Keynes through this interactive, activity-based guided walk around your local parks. Learn all about the animals and plants that are able to withstand our seasons, and take part in activities which will bring you closer to the natural world. This session tailored for Key Stage 1 and 2 will encourage the exploration of our senses through a variety of interactive activities.
Our Winter Walk is offered at a discount price of £2.00 per child during December and January. It will take place in your local park and last between 1-1.5 hrs depending on what best suits your group.
How does this session link to the National Curriculum? (Key Stage 1 & 2)
- Identify, name, draw and label the basic parts of the human body and say which part of the body is associated with each sense.
- Observe changes across the four seasons.
- Observe and describe weather associated with the seasons and how day length varies.
- Identify and name a variety of common animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
