Wellbeing
Encourage your class to get in touch with nature and their own feelings, learning how we are all connected to the Earth around us, and how being at peace with the wild can encourage positive mental health.
The aim is that students will be able to:
- Understand that all living organisms can feel
- Acknowledge their own feelings and explore methods of dealing with negative feelings
- Understand that feelings change over time
- Use feelings and nature in art or creative writing
Additionally, we have provided a Japanese inspired guide on how to connect with nature by using your senses.
Visit the peaceful Tree Cathedral and take a walk to unwind and reconnect with nature. It's a great way to test students on their newfound knowledge. Use the Mindfulness at The Tree Cathedral resource to guide you.
