Art in The Park

Students get an insight into how art and design across Milton Keynes reflects our history and contributes to the culture, creativity and wealth of the city. Students explore the art trail around Campbell Park looking at a range of sculptures. This will help them to develop a critical understanding of artists, architects and designers, expressing reasoned judgement that can inform their own work. This could be a stand alone visit or part of a longer scheme of work you may be delivering in school to equip students with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. Please note this session can only be booked at Campbell Park. Suitable for Key Stages 3 and 4.

How does this session link to the National Curriculum?

Key Stage 3 - Analyse and evaluate the work of others, to strengthen the visual impact or applications of their work. Learn about the history of art, craft, design and architecture, including periods, styles and major movements from ancient times up to the present day.

Key Stage 4 - Actively engage in the creative process of art, craft and design in order to develop as effective and independent learners, and as critical and reflective thinkers with enquiring minds.
