Estimating, Measuring and Tree Maths
Get students outside to Estimate & Measure everything in their sight!
These resources get students estimating measurements of outdoor objects such as the width of a park bench without using metric units.
Improve your student’s maths skills using mother nature! For our Tree Maths tasks, you will need to be in an area with lots of trees. This can be anywhere from a park, woodland or garden.
Students will learn how to estimate the age of a tree, as well as learn the height of the tree with simple calculations and practices.
While doing this activity, why not challenge students to use the A-Z Tree Identification resource to identify the trees they are looking at?
