Minibeasts
Get students fascinated by the marvellous minibeasts we have in our parks
We have provided many activities for students to get involved in, with the aim to:
- Develop their scientific language, including the terms "minibeast", "invertebrate" and "insect"
- Help them discover which habitats minibeasts are found in
- Help them understand minibeast lifecycles
- Get them involved with minibeasts in their schools
Follow up this activity, by getting students to colour in a page full of bugs, moths and butterflies, as well as learning a quick fact about them!
There are also videos below that teaches students how to build a hotel for bugs or how to hunt a bug down. Use the step-by-step document we have included to support you when learning how to hunt a bug.
Documents are suitable for all Primary ages with adaptations listed where necessary.
Did you know? We offer a "Minibeasts & Habitats" session for Milton Keynes Primary Schools in our parks! Click here to find out more and to book.
