Wildlife in our Parks
The parks and green spaces we care for Milton Keynes contain some of Buckinghamshire’s most important areas of wildlife habitat, including ancient woodlands, species-rich floodplain meadows and wetland reserves. As well as conserving these key sites, our team of biodiversity experts are working to enhance opportunities for wildlife in our parkland that surrounds and interconnects them.
The Parks Trust are working in support of the new Biodiversity Action Plan for Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, published by the Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Natural Environment Partnership, which we are a member of. This new Action Plan provides an overview of biodiversity across the county of Buckinghamshire and outlines the action necessary to conserve and restore wildlife in the face of the many threats our natural environment faces.
