Friends of the Parks
We are proud to have a few Friends of and affiliated volunteer groups that we work with in our parks. These groups provide vital support to the particular parks they work in and are avid ambassadors for those parks. They run open days, events, guided walks, talks and conservation tasks and we thank them for the support they give The Parks Trust.
The Friends of groups currently active in our parks are:
- Friends of Linford Lakes Nature Reserve who support do run open days and conservation tasks at the nature reserve.
- Friends of Great Linford Manor Park who are supporting us at Great Linford Manor Park.
- Stony Riverside Parks Group who support events and conservation in the parks around Stony Stratford.
- Elfield Bushcraft who run weekly sessions at Elfield Park Nature Reserve to promote the conservation of this area
- Mid-shire Orchard Group are a local group of of volunteers with special interest in fruit trees and who run monthly tasks at Woughton Orchard.
- MK Green Gym visit Linford Lakes Nature Reserve every month to help the conservation of the reserve.
- Working with Milton Keynes Rose Trust members of the Parks Trust team sit on the MK Rose Project Team to promote engagement and activity at the Milton Keynes Rose.
- Community Trees MK who are a not-for-profit community group which help with planting projects in Milton Keynes' parks.
