Heritage Open Days return to MK’s parks!
We are excited to invite you to celebrate the national festival of Heritage Open Days in Milton Keynes' parks. We have a packed programme of events in store which focus on the history and culture of the city's green spaces.
Local residents can discover the public art pieces along the Gyosei Trail on the Grand Union Canal, learn about the history of the Bancroft Roman Villa, go on a guided 30 mile bike ride stopping off at cultural landmarks across the city and much more.
Julie Dawes, Events & Community Engagement Manager at The Parks Trust says:
“Our amazing network of parks, connected by green routes and redways, are the perfect fit for this year’s theme (routes, networks and connections)! So, this year’s events are all about getting to know the city’s green spaces - learning about their connection with communities discovering their past and imagining their future.”
Booking is required for some events with free tickets becoming available from 9am on Thursday 8th August. View the full programme below.
