Alphabet trail launched at Great Linford Manor Park!
We've launched a free family activity trail at Great Linford Manor Park to celebrate the completion of the restoration project.
We're excited to announce the launch of a new trail designed to engage visitors of all ages with Great Linford Manor Park's rich history and natural beauty.
The trail features 26 yellow plaques, each displaying a letter of the alphabet and telling a unique story about the park's heritage.
Visitors can download a free trail activity sheet to enhance their experience, and the plaques are even designed to be enjoyed as rubbings, making for a truly interactive adventure. The trail covers approximately 2 miles and can be completed in a single or multiple visits, encouraging visitors to explore the entire park, including both sides of the canal.
We are grateful to the Friends of Great Linford Manor Park for their assistance in creating the trail and providing their knowledge of the park's heritage.
Located around the park on yellow plaques are the 26 letters of the alphabet. Each tells a story of the park's heritage, both historic and natural. The trail is designed to be enjoyed by children of all ages and is supported by a free downloadable trail activity sheet, which can be found here. The plaques are also designed to be enjoyed as rubbings, so you may wish to bring paper and a crayon with you.

Whether you are a local resident or a visitor from out of town, the new trail at Great Linford Manor Park is the perfect way to experience the park's natural beauty and learn about its rich history. Don't forget to bring a paper and crayon to enjoy the rubbings!
Accessibility: Alphabet plaques are located on different surfaces in the park, including benches, handrails, bollards and sculptures. Some of these structures are located off-path and the ground may be muddy when wet. Visit the park page for further accessibility information.
