Dog Walking
In Milton Keynes, you’re never more than half a mile from a park which means there’s plenty of choice when it comes to finding places to explore with your four-legged friends. Find out more about your local green spaces here.
If you want to discover a new park, we would recommend booking a space at one of our monthly group dog walks. Our Woof Walks are guided by a Parks Trust Ranger and are a great opportunity for dogs and their owners to socialise with one another.
We ask all dog walkers to be responsible when out in the parks with their four-legged friend and ask everyone to be mindful of our Dog Walking Code of Conduct.
Professional Dog Walking
To ensure the safety of park visitors and their pets, all professional dog walkers require a licence to operate in our parks. You can apply for a license or view licensed dog walkers here.
Dog Trainers
The Parks Trust owns several paddocks across Milton Keynes, many of which are rented by companies running dog training sessions or paddock hire. You can find out more about the companies and their services here.
Dogs on Leads
Dog walkers in MK should be aware that we have livestock grazing in some of our parks where we ask for all dogs to be kept on leads when livestock are present. We also ask for dogs to be kept on leads in our ancient woodlands during bird nesting season (March to September) to prevent harm to local wildlife.
