As part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund project to Reveal, Restore and Revive Great Linford Manor Park, we have launched a podcast series which delves into the history of the people who have made the park their home over the centuries.
In our first episode, Ellie Broad, our Community Engagement & Activity Coordinator Officer and Julie Ireland, local history enthusiast and one of the friends of the Great Linford Manor Park explore the life of Frances Uthwatt. Frances was a quintessentially Georgian woman who lived at the Manor during its heyday – find out more about her story by listening to the podcast below.
In our second episode, Ellie Broad joins John Gosling, a local amateur historian and friend Great Linford Manor Park, to delve into the history of the Reverend Doctor Richard Napier. Napier had a colourful life and worked in the park during the late 1500s and early 1600s. Listen below to the podcast below to discover more.
