Statement on Coronavirus

Updated February 2022

The Parks Trust continues to operate in line with the current Government guidance and has extra precautions in place to keep our team and visitors safe. For the latest information on Covid-19, please refer to the Government website: www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Please find our latest updates below;

Use of the parks

Please be considerate to other park users. We suggest that you keep socially distanced from people you do not know and practicing good hygiene (such as carrying antibacterial hand gel for your use). You may choose to use a face covering in indoor spaces including in our toilets and education centres, and we ask everybody to respect others choices.

If you feel unwell, we ask that you please do not attend any of our parks and follow Government guidance.

Events and activities

We will still be keeping some measures in place to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and attendees. These measures include social distancing, regular hand washing, the wearing of face coverings in more crowded indoor areas and reducing the capacity of visitors to some of our larger events.

As spaces may be limited, if you have booked for an event but you no longer wish to attend or you can't because you have COVID-19, please get in touch with our team on events@theparkstrust.com as soon as possible.

Please refer to our what’s on page for the latest updates on events.

School sessions with our Outdoor Learning team are running in managed group sizes. Please contact outdoorlearning@theparkstrust.com to discuss your requirements.

For third party events and activities in the parks, please contact the company or organisation directly to discuss any restrictions which might be in place.

Play areas and outdoor gym equipment

Play areas and outdoor gym equipment are open. All equipment should be used at your own risk. Please supervise children and others in your care. We recommend bringing your own hand sanitiser to use before and after using the equipment.

Our work and our staff

Our landscape maintenance work continues with some additional safety measures in place. We will continue to follow the latest government advice regarding safe working practices.

Our volunteers

Our volunteers are now able to resume their volunteering duties, but we ask our volunteers to only continue volunteering with us if they feel safe and well to do so. Any enquiries relating to volunteering can be sent to volunteering@theparkstrust.com.

We will continue to follow latest government advice and will update our statements and website if anything changes.
