
Community Litter Pick: Howe Park Wood

Monday 25 JulyHowe Park Wood located on the west of the city, is a particularly important site, so important in fact that it’s been granted ‘SSSI status’. This means that the woodland is a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’. Places that are given this status are required by law to be protected and managed in order to preserve wildlife in the area.
Not only that Howe Park Wood is one of only three local ancient woodlands, it hosts a variety of important wildlife, is enjoyed by many visitors throughout the year and hosts many of our activities. By joining this month's litter pick on Monday 25th July, you'll be helping to protect this site for all to enjoy.
Litter picking equipment with litter pickers, hoops, bags will be provided. Please bring gloves and wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.
